The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) seeks to develop education and educational institutions in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, implement innovative educational policies, plans and programs that aim to improve education, and support educational institutions and staff to achieve the objectives of national development in accordance with the highest international standards.
On behalf of ADEC, SSAT are now looking for classroom teachers. This is an excellent opportunity to get involved at classroom teacher level with the exciting education reforms that are occurring in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Current requirements at secondary level are for Secondary English teachers for Grade 12 (age 17 – 18). You will have 3 years or more teaching experience to work in Abu Dhabi schools. Applicants who are successful will be introduced to ADEC for employment, would be employed by ADEC and will work in a school alongside SSAT staff who are delivering the partnership teaching programme with local teachers. The school year operates from August until June with local holidays, and these roles commence in August 2010.
